DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS

Basically Pejabat Daerah dan Tanah Alor Gajah is responsible for developing the Alor Gajah District and collect revenue to increase state revenue.

The main source of revenue for Pejabat Daerah dan Tanah Alor Gajah is through:

i. Current land tax payment and tax arrears.

ii. Payment of land premium.

iii. Permit fee for producing rock material.

iv. Temporary Occupation Licence (TOL).

v. Payment transactions and non-trading business.

vi. Other payments for business development and disposal of land.

vii. Providing a range of alternative channels for payment of land tax as the Post Office, BN Bank, Credit Card and via online at the Department of Lands and Mines website.

Pejabat Daerah dan Tanah Alor Gajah is also serves to plan and implement physical development of rural and social development of rural communities. Physical development focuses on the development of rural infrastructure such as the construction of public and community halls, mosques, roads, drains and bridges. In addition, the social development of society is undertaken by the Revenue Enhancement Program for the poor and increase small and medium enterprises through the One Village One Product program.
